Dr. Eric B. Dano received a B.S. in Physics from the U.S. Naval Academy, and a M.S and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences from the University of Michigan, where his research focused on microwave radar backscatter from transient deep-water breaking waves. Eric worked at Sanders Associates/BAE Systems for over 25 years, where he built on his experience as a former USMC Electronic Countermeasures Officer to architect, design, and field a myriad of complex defense systems. Dr. Dano is currently an Associate Professor of Practice at George Washington University's Engineering Management and Systems Engineering (EMSE) department. His pedagogical interests include systems architecture, systems thinking, model-based engineering, and engineering education. Dr. Dano is the Industry Liaison to the ASEE Mid-Atlantic Section, member of the Physics Honor Society (ΣΠΣ), senior member of IEEE, INCOSE NE past president, and on the NDIA systems architecture working group.
